Excerpt from upcoming “Masquerade X”

The song came to an end, and Cameron dipped Lilah low, the ends of her curls almost brushing the floor. When he pulled her back to his chest, she couldn’t be sure if her head was swimming from the swooping motion or from the raw sexuality searing through her. Cameron ducked his head and dropped a series of kisses and licks to her collarbone. She inhaled sharply, her lips parting slightly and her eyes fluttering closed. When she opened them, she saw the mysterious man in the corner still looking at her, his right hand coming to rest of the crotch of his pants. His shameless self-indulgence precipitated by her moment of pleasure only perpetuated her arousal.

“Eternity”, a poem for my husband

I looked across the expanse,
The wide open plane, smothered in mist,
Desolate and aching,
Longing for lazy, languid lovers.
I parted the veil, gauzy and translucent,
And there you stood,
Bathing in the haze of gloam.
My skin is braille.
If you can read me, my concentric patterns, my symmetry,
I’ll grow roots into this existence,
Planted in twilight for eternity,
In this intimate stasis with you.
We can remain until stars litter the ground,
Until the moon signals the morning.
We can spend the centuries
Mapping each other’s freckles,
Memorizing the constellations they make.
From our feet will burst forth life,
Flora and lush green meadows
Gently tickling our toes
While we navigate this swath of universe
Created in our image.
Until we collapse into the Galaxy,
The remnant embers of us
Swirling into the vapor
From whence we came.

An excerpt from upcoming short “Teaching Jessa”

Adam gripped her knees and spread them wide. He settled himself between her and bent down to kiss her. Their lips melted together, and Jessa let out of a soft moan. He tasted like vanilla and cinnamon, and his lips moved expertly against hers. She gasped as he nipped her lower lip between his teeth, running his tongue along the surface of it. He released it and went back to work exploring the chasm of her mouth, their tongues massaging each other in playful, teasing flicks. Jessa’s could feel herself growing wet, the aching emptiness of desire beginning to set in.

Excerpt from the upcoming novelette “The Scent of Jasmine”

Lana ran her fingers up the inside of her leg, her skin slippery and smooth with soap beneath her own fingers. Her perfectly polished nails dragged slowly, along her inner thigh, and she permitted herself to brush against her labia, slightly but enough that her muscles clenched, and she let out a soft gasp. She ran her palms over the curve of her hips and up her sides. She trailed her fingertips along the swell of her breast, tracing the round edges, and watching her nipples harden. It had been a long time since she’d appreciated her body this way.

Electrochemical

She glances up,
Her eyes peering from beneath square glass,
An invitation of sorts.
Something stirs within,
Coming to life.
A primal fire,
A visceral rapture fraught with longing.
The softness of her lips
Like the petals of a morning glory
Blossoming beneath the sun.
She unfurls beneath me,
Languid limbs weaving around me
And my neurons sing,
An electrochemical frenzy of hunger.
I inhale her whispers,
Swallow her gasping breath,
My own lungs filling
With the exhalations of her euphoria.
I travel the lines of her,
Tracing a map so I can find my way back.
She shudders
And pierces still stillness of the night
With her rhapsody.
On my tongue lies the taste of her,
Exotic and sweet.
She gazes from behind heavy lids,
The rhythmic rise and fall of her breathing
Lulling me near slumber,
And I think,
Maybe
I could stay here for a while.
